Melissa Lees, BSocSc (Hon)
Clinic Manager

Melissa received her Honours BSocSc in International Development and Globalization from the University of Ottawa in 2009. She began her career in community health in reception and medical administration and later shifted to providing front-line social services such as counselling, crisis support, and practical assistance. While supporting individuals navigating the healthcare system, she developed a passion for quality improvement and shifted to coordination and facilitation roles for initiatives aimed at advancing access to team-based care for patients with complex and chronic health conditions. Most recently, Melissa expanded her health care system and medical clinic knowledge developing policies and acting as the lead medical administrator for a local healthcare collective.

Melissa's interests include ceramics, meditation, community health, death education, and singing and playing musical instruments. She loves to learn and improve her skills.

Melissa holds certifications in: Essential Skills in Evaluation, Foundations of Quality Improvement, LEAN Yellow Belt, Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, Short-term Counselling Skills, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, and End of Life Doula training. She is currently working towards certification in Meditation and Mindfulness teacher training.
