Aaron Fahey,  MD, CCFP (SEM), Dip. Sport Med (CASEM)
Sports Medicine

Born and raised in the town of Chelsea, Quebec, Aaron then moved to Quebec City to complete his undergraduate medical degree at Université Laval. He then returned home to complete his Family Medicine residency and subsequently pursue a fellowship in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of Ottawa.

 

Aaron has previously worked with varsity sports teams, such as the Carleton Men’s Rugby team and uOttawa Women’s Varsity Hockey team. Additionally, he has provided medical coverage at events like the Bingham Cup and the Ottawa Summer Indigenous Games. He is also engaged in medical education and has been involved in teaching medical students and residents at the University of Ottawa.

 

With a special interest in ultrasound-guided injections, Aaron offers a range of advanced treatments, including cortisone injections and hyaluronic acid/viscosupplementation injections.

 

Beyond the medical field, Aaron has a lifelong love for the outdoors and sports. Growing up, he played soccer for the Ottawa Fury and competed in cross-country skiing where he represented Canada at the World University Games. His diverse experiences contribute to his holistic approach to healthcare, emphasizing the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle in overall well-being.
