Psychotherapy

Compassionate care. Meaningful change.

Psychotherapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore thoughts, emotions, behaviours and life experiences. Our mental health providers help veterans develop strategies to manage challenges, improve well-being, and work toward meaningful change.

Our psychologists and psychotherapists provide evidence-informed care tailored to each person’s needs. We support a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, persistent pain, stress and adjustment to life changes or health conditions. Services are exclusive to veterans and include individual and group therapy, as well as workshops and educational sessions.

Every appointment is one-on-one in a private treatment room. We work closely with the other healthcare professionals involved in your care and, with your consent, keep your family doctor informed of your progress. If another provider is better suited to your needs, we'll help connect you with the right specialist.

Pre-authorization is required from Veterans Affairs Canada to access coverage for psychotherapy sessions.

Contact us at info@bpmottawa.ca to start the pre-authorization process.
